Chester County OIC provides adult basic literacy education and life skills programs that prepare individuals for self-sufficiency and employment. Programs include Adult Workforce Literacy, Certified Nurse Aide Training, English as a Second Language, GED Prep, as well as career and vocational training programs and literacy instruction for developmentally disabled adults.

Chester County OIC has requested a STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT project to assess how well the local mission aligns with the national organization and whether current programs are still relevant for their changing constituency.

Community Learning Center provides free adult basic education, GED, English language, and beginning literacy classes to low-income adults in Philadelphia.

Recognizing that it needs to provide expanded services to help its students find and retain employment, CLC has requested a STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONS project to help identify, approach, and work with other nonprofits in the job training/employment space.

Hope Partnership’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education with its independent school (grades 5-8) and summer program, as well as adult education classes and other programs in a vulnerable Eastern North Philadelphia neighborhood.

Hope Partnership has requested a STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT project that will examine its existing strategic plan to ensure mission and resources are in line with recent organizational changes and increased capacity.

PENNSYLVANIA ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS (PAFA)

PAFA is the nation’s first school and museum of fine arts, with a focus on training professional fine artists, collecting and exhibiting American art, and providing art education to the Philadelphia community.

PAFA has requested a FUNDING STRATEGY project that will assist them in developing strategies to boost their undergraduate enrollment.

The city’s largest employment agency, Philadelphia Works, funds and provides job training and job placement services, researches workforce trends, and promotes public policy to assist jobseekers and employers.

Philadelphia Works has requested a STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONS project to develop a strategy to partner with other Philadelphia nonprofits that focus on the “hardest-to-serve” populations in the city in order to move this population into sustainable employment.

The mission of Programs Employing People is to facilitate competitive employment and meaningful work for individuals with intellectual disabilities through five core programs: employment services, adult day training, adult literacy and education, arts for socialization, and Camp PEP.

PEP has requested a FUNDING STRATEGY project to create a business plan for an entrepreneurial initiative designed to generate additional revenue.

SeniorLAW Center has requested a STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT project to examine all of its programs to ensure ongoing alignment and consistency with the organization’s mission.
