Suzanne B. Laporte
Suzanne has extensive experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, marketing, consulting, and publishing. Suzanne took the helm of Compass in 2007. Since then, Suzanne has significantly increased the support available to nonprofits by creating new programs and services and extending Compass’ reach beyond Greater Washington. She spearheaded the successful opening of offices in Greater Philadelphia and Chicago. Before joining Compass, Suzanne worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM in marketing. She also held positions in the publishing industry as an editor at Working Woman magazine and Marketing Director for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Suzanne has an AB in American History from Smith College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has served on the boards of several DC-area nonprofits, and The Washington Business Journal recognized Suzanne with their prestigious Women Who Mean Business award. Suzanne positioned Compass to be recognized as a GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency 2020 recipient.
