Why Work with Us
Proven
methodology
We complement your existing nominating and selection process, not replace it. Our high-touch vetting and training processes are tailored to support successful and long-lasting matches.
Board-Ready
Candidates
Our candidates have at least 10 years of work experience and a range of business skills and board experience. All candidates complete our proprietary training, so you can be assured they are ready to hit the ground running on their first day.
Long-term
Impact
We source candidates outside your ecosystem, opening connections for you with new segments of your community. Our candidates commit to at least one term; many stay far longer and eventually take on board leadership roles.
How it works
Application
Tell us your board needs and expectations, time and resource requirements, skills gaps, demographic priorities, and more.
Interview
We speak with your Executive Director and Board Chair to dig deeper into your board culture, composition, focus, and needs.
Matching
We find a great candidate for you. Primary factors we consider include the candidateโs connection to your mission and fit for your needs. Other factors include time and resource capacity, and fit with how your board operates.
Confirmation
Once we make a match, itโs up to you. Following your existing nominating and selection process, get to know your match, and decide whether and when to invite them to join your board.
