Alana Kwan is an undergraduate at Columbia University studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Artificial Intelligence. Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of engineering, data, and applied technology. Through research roles at Columbia and international institutions, as well as multiple award-winning hackathon projects, she has worked on problems ranging from protein phase behavior to real-time computer vision and data-enabled platforms.

Alana joins Compass Pro Bono as a Spring 2026 AI & Automation Intern and is eager to apply her technical background to mission-driven projects that support nonprofits through thoughtful, scalable technology solutions.
