Sophia Romanov Imber

Sophia is a junior at Cornell University majoring in English and Government. Her interests are in ethics, social justice, technology and privacy law. She enjoys using legal research and writing to communicate ways in which we can better our communities. She also enjoys reading contemporary literature and watching films from the ’80s and ’90s.

Sophia joins Compass Pro Bono as a 2026 Communications Intern and is excited to bring her skills in editing and marketing to Compass.

Sophia currently serves as the associate editor of The Cornell Daily Sun college newspaper on the 144th editorial board and is the Co-President of TEDxCornell. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Sophia has volunteered for nonprofits like Breakthrough Miami and Health Information Project to support the educational development of youth. To Sophia, non-profits are the backbone of civil society and she is excited to support Compass in its mission.
